The Associate Director of Network and Information Security will manage Tier I and II Engineers in a tiered network and security operations center. They are responsible for supporting complex and diverse networks in a coordinated effort with peers and managers of other tiered services. Applicants for this position must have strong network operations experience, experience operating in a multi-vendor environment, experience with network operations and cybersecurity operations tools, and experience managing/participating in network and cybersecurity projects. The Associate Director of Network and Information Security will responsible for: Managing the staffing of a 24/7 network and security operations team. Providing after-hours standby support on a regular basis. Managing the workflow of NSOC analysts/engineers. Providing guidance and support to both the network operations and cybersecurity operations teams. Ensuring the NSOC meets the metrics set-forth by leadership including administrative, auditory, and KPIs. Determining the strategy of the NSOC team and managing its execution. Driving continuous improvement of network and security operations staying abreast of network and cybersecurity industry standards, best practices, trends, and future outlook incorporating that information into the NSOC’s strategy. Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish daily operational responsibilities. Applying sound financial management principles towards reducing operational costs while increasing operational output. Maintaining and developing positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with internal teams, leaders and peers to determine the business/client needs. Advising leadership on all aspects of network and security operations. The Associate Director, Network and Information Security will manage engineers who are: Working to drive outages to resolution by using advanced network troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. Analyzing complex solutions on networks that may require on-the-fly configuration changes. Assessing and detecting adverse cyber security events within the network. Isolating, internally resolving, or externally coordinating the corrective actions necessary to restore services in response to outages. Providing technical support through the application of upgrades and break-fix actions to network devices. Coordinating with vendors on routine maintenance and repair of systems as part of a network asset lifecycle.
