About The Position

The Associate Director, Maritime Business Development at Anduril Industries is responsible for driving growth and capturing demand within the Maritime Division. This role involves developing strategic initiatives, managing customer relationships, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance business opportunities in the defense sector, particularly focusing on autonomous systems for the U.S. Navy and other defense customers. Requirements

  • Proven strategic growth leader with experience in business capture strategies, particularly with the US Navy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisitions and history of zero-to-one defense program growth.
  • Experience in the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of developing and deploying autonomous systems.
  • High-energy leader with strong management skills and emotional intelligence, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience briefing senior executives and customers.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer engagements and program oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development or operational employment of unmanned underwater systems.
  • Bachelor's and Advanced Degree in relevant fields.
  • Intimate understanding of government contracting and transitioning prototype capabilities to production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, run and capture demand and resourcing for current and future contracts within the Maritime Division.
  • Support detailed scoping and planning efforts for proposals and new start programs, including capturing strategic initiatives and generating milestones for delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with end-users and stakeholders to drive customer success and solidify requirements.
  • Serve as a Growth Lead and close partner to Program Leads across Maritime Programs to bridge gaps in contract acquisition pathways.
  • Implement strategies that capture opportunities and integrate Capability Providers, Developers, and Employers into a cohesive plan of action.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leads to define high-level system requirements and architecture for future vehicle and payload programs.
  • Represent the Anduril brand at stakeholder engagements, including high-level military and congressional meetings.
  • Foster a culture of trust, open communications, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Travel to support customer meetings and program contracts, with an expected travel rate of 30%.
