The Associate Director of Launch Excellence and Planning (LEAP) will play a critical role in leading integrated launch readiness planning and execution within the Corporate Operations department for Ionis's late-stage assigned assets. This position will collaborate closely with the Director of Launch Excellence and Planning, the Global Commercial Asset Lead, and the launch team to ensure that all assigned assets are launch-ready. The Associate Director will also be responsible for cataloging and documenting LEAP best practices, functional processes, and key documents and templates, ensuring that these best practices are applied consistently across assets. This role requires deep cross-functional alignment and collaboration, as well as the implementation and management of the Ionis Launch Excellence framework and end-to-end processes. The LEAP lead will provide strategic support to the Commercial Lead and launch team, partnering with the Director to build and operationalize an integrated and cross-functional plan. Responsibilities include defining launch team governance, identifying strategic launch priorities, managing the execution of the launch plan, and facilitating Launch Readiness Review meetings with the Ionis Executive Leadership Team. The LEAP lead will also develop and maintain communication and launch management tools to ensure team effectiveness, support the formalization of best practices, and facilitate the consistent implementation of launch excellence tools and processes globally. This position is pivotal in addressing unresolved issues and evolving needs within the portfolio, ensuring that the launch process is seamless and effective.
