About The Position

As an Associate Director for Application Architecture at Gartner Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients at the highest strategic level, focusing on technology and analytics to solve complex challenges. This position involves collaborating with IT leaders, including CIOs and CTOs, to develop application modernization strategies, conduct technology assessments, and design future state technology architectures. You will also assist in growing the Application services business by preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in designing and developing complex enterprise solutions leveraging hybrid and cloud architecture and platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Google).
• Expertise in developing technology reference architecture and data architecture based on best practices.
• Experience in designing and developing applications leveraging low-code platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Appian, Mendix, ServiceNow).
• Expertise in designing and developing scalable, extensible, and integrated analytics platforms.
• Expertise in developing hybrid integration architecture and a deep understanding of API management.
• Understanding of cloud technology components and architecture patterns (e.g., Dockers, Kubernetes, Message Queuing, Microservices).
• Ability to engage in detailed discussions with solutions architects and summarize technology views for senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop application modernization strategy, roadmap, and estimate the required investment.
• Conduct technology assessments of the application and data ecosystems, identifying current challenges and developing mitigation strategies.
• Design future state technology reference architecture for solutions, integration, and data, identifying required capabilities, platforms, tools, and operating models.
• Perform solution options analysis and identify and assess potential platforms and solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.
• Assist Managing Partners in growing the Application services business, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
