The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University invites applications for a full-time, nontenure track faculty position in finance that, for the right candidate, can include serving as the Associate Director of the Investment Strategy Institute (ADISI). The position begins in January 2026. Applicants with significant experience in investment management, financial planning, and/or wealth management who also possess deep connections to the Pittsburgh business community are especially welcome to apply. The faculty rank for this position will either be Instructor (for those with an MBA or a relevant master's) or Assistant Professor of Practice (for those with a terminal degree such as the Ph.D.). The normal teaching load for full-time NTT faculty is 24 credit hours per academic year (i.e., eight 3-credit classes, a 4-4 teaching load). However, a candidate who can also be appointed as the ADISI will have a reduced teaching load (18-21 credit hours per academic year) due to the significant administrative responsibilities involved in supporting the Executive Director of ISI (EDISI) and the Institute's various initiatives and activities. More specifically, the ADISI is charged with supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs related to the ISI and Student Managed Investment Funds (SMIFs) as well as coordinating center activities, coaching students in the Asset Management Group @ Duquesne (DAMG), helping to deliver the Financial Planning Track (which prepares students to sit for the CFP exam), and representing ISI/SMIF/DAMG for the School of Business.
