We are seeking a Associate Director International Strategic Customer Engagement to join our Rare Disease & Cardio-metabolic International Commercial Business Unit (CBU). This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and product launch readiness across the EMEA region. Based in one of our preferred locations-Munich, Paris, Milano, or Madrid-you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that improve patient outcomes and organizational success. Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a Master's degree in science, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in field force effectiveness, commercial operational effectiveness, or strategic planning within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven expertise in supporting product launches, particularly in international markets (EMEA experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with rare disease therapeutic areas and challenges associated with international product launches.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, communication skills, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Thrive in an international, cross-functional environment and enjoys collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Have a passion for rare diseases and a clear focus on improving patient lives through strategic initiatives.
  • Excel in using data-driven insights to inform and refine strategies, while managing complex projects and driving results in dynamic, fast-evolving markets.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
  • Have advanced proficiency in tools such as CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva) and reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the international gene therapy market and ultra-rare disease therapeutic areas.
  • Multilingual proficiency, especially in European languages.
  • Understanding of global healthcare systems, market access, and reimbursement strategies specific to EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing tactical plans to enhance field team performance across EMEA markets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Marketing, and Distribution, to support product launches and regional execution.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering data-driven recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Leading change management initiatives to adapt to evolving market dynamics and organizational priorities.
  • Preparing briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external engagements.
  • Managing launch readiness plans and ensuring alignment with regional strategies and priorities.
  • Partnering with Commercial Training to improve field team capabilities through tailored development programs.
