Raytheon is seeking a defense industry professional to coordinate business development activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) organization. The Associate Director will lead C-UAS business development efforts for our international customers. In this role, the Associate Director will be responsible for delivering new business solutions to our international customers, leveraging Raytheon capabilities and solutions in support of our regional Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) team efforts across multiple geographic regions.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior aerospace and defense experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Experience as an Army Capabilities Manager, Army Program Manager or Army G8
  • International Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
  • Experience presenting and communicating with customers and senior leadership
  • Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) acquisition processes and experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
  • Security Clearance Type: Secret - Current

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant government and/or industry experience with an established network across government to include: Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, & Technology (ASA ALT), Army Staff, Combatant Commanders (COCOMs), Office of Defense Cooperation (ODCs), Army Contracting Command (ACC), and Aviation and Missiles Command (AMCOM)
  • Familiarity with the business development process, investment funding process and international strategic assessment
  • Familiarity with requirements generation, resource sponsors, and/or program management experience
  • Previous experience with international business teaming agreements or partnerships
  • Previous business development experience with industry

Responsibilities

  • Execute business development strategy to meet international growth targets which include ~$5B in the next five years
  • Provide focused support to the LADS regional R&C teams on C-UAS capabilities to identify, qualify, shape, and capture C-UAS international opportunities and drive the Pursuit to Startup up gates and plans in the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) process
  • Execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Long-Range Plan
  • Collaborate internally and with our partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies for LADS pursuits.
  • Establish relationships and work closely with customers, business units, functional partners, programs and product area directorates
  • Coordinate and manage New Business Investment accounts, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international sales intermediaries, and customer engagements
  • Leverage the Enterprise Raytheon Pipeline Manager (ERPM) CRM tool to manage and report the Land and Air Defense C-UAS international pipeline
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
  • 15% domestic and 25% international travel
