The Associate Director, Fixed Income Index Calculation and Distribution will lead the Fixed Income Index Calculation and Distribution Team (FI ICAD) within the Global Index Management & Production Group (IMPG). This global team is responsible for the production and management of a wide range of indices covering equities, fixed income, options, futures, commodity, digital assets, and economics indices. The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts responsible for the production of global, S&P and iBoxx-branded Fixed Income indices, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate calculation inputs, oversee calculations, analyze corporate events, and stay abreast of market trends to inform decision-making.   • Manage a team of analysts responsible for the validation of inputs used for index calculation to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform quality assurance validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of the index values to be distributed to clients.
  • Oversee and optimize daily operating processes for global indices, proactively investigating system alerts and coordinating with the technology team to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage product delivery ensuring timely dissemination of intraday and end-of-day index data to clients and end users.
  • Collaborate with the technology development team to drive automation and enhance system capabilities.
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with other groups within the department and across other departments, particularly Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Services, and Technology Teams.
  • Lead the integration of new products into the daily operations cycle.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of analysts located across different geographical locations in the Americas.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT Finance disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a financial services or analytics role, preferably within the fixed income domain.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and company fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team of analysts and a track record of motivating and developing team members effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Excel, with advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in databases (SQL) as well as programming languages such as Python and VBA.
