About The Position

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products. The Associate Director, Incoming Materials, oversees the Incoming Materials Warehouse and Shared Frozen Product Movement team, responsible for management of materials supporting manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or another technical field
  • Minimum (5) years' experience in more than one functional area, such as Operations, Quality, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering, Maintenance, and/or Supply Chain
  • Minimum (2) years of line experience, with responsibility for direct reports

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring delivery of organization priorities and metrics
  • Maintaining an active shop floor presence in support of creating and sustaining a highly engaged workforce, by listening to team members, understanding their needs, and fostering their professional development.
  • Champion a culture of open communication, encouraging all IPT team members to share ideas and solutions that drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading continuous improvement activities within the Incoming Materials Team (MPS)
  • Ensuring all business practices and area policies maintain alignment with the current Company/Union agreement.
  • Managing internal and external warehouses
  • Responsible for creating and sustaining a culture that ensures that compliance (Safety, Environment, cGMP, etc.) are imperatives for the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring organization adherence to all company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Responsible to review and approve compliance documents, as per procedures or need.
  • Lead Safety and Quality audits for the area (Internal/External).
  • Supply Lead Area daily walkthrough.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making to ensure quality product is reliably produced while managing cost.
  • Responsible for Area supply performance metrics (Schedule Adherence, Release on Time, Customer service performance, Product Lead Time, etc.).
  • Accountable for developing and leading direct reports in our company Production System (MPS) and driving a continuous improvement culture, while achieving MPS Targets and business results for the Area.
  • Leading / supporting the development of strategic initiatives related to the manufacturing process, equipment and human resources in support of long-range operating plans.
  • Identify, prioritize, and champion improvement projects to improve process efficiency, cycle time, and yield, reduce process variability, and eliminate waste.
  • Maintaining various monthly metrics and tracking action plans.
  • Supporting development and management of the Area operating budget as defined with the profit plan.
  • Accountable for meeting the operating budget and continuously reducing cost.
  • Ensure members of the Area have business acumen and understand how they may impact business finances.
  • Responsible for creating and sustaining a highly engaged workforce through utilization of our Company Leadership Behaviors and Inclusion.
  • Provide coaching on professional development and career paths.
  • Provide timely feedback and performance evaluations for direct reports after obtaining the relevant input and evaluation.
  • Provide feedback and input on performance evaluations for indirect staff.
  • Support IPT Talent Management.
