Position Brand Description: The Associate Director is responsible for setting strategies and objectives for his or her area within Indy Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP). The Associate Director partners with other leaders to influence and implement the organization’s functional agenda, Business Plan priorities, and GMP Plan objectives for the Site. The Associate Director is responsible for developing employees as necessary to meet these business requirements.

Requirements

  • Recognized strong team leadership, talent development skills, especially coaching and people development
  • Technical competence in area of responsibility (typically 5 years experience, or more)
  • Solid regulatory compliance knowledge (GMP, OSHA, etc.)
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, mentor, coach, and recognize employees within their organization.
  • Develop and implement business plan objectives
  • Track team performance in executing and completing objectives
  • Ensure proper resources and tools are in place to execute team objectives
  • Staff the team with personnel capable of meeting business needs and objectives

  • Remove barriers that impact team performance
  • Provide technical input/support, as required
  • Develop local processes and procedures in accordance with the FUME system
  • Assure an adequate number of qualified resources to perform asset management processes
  • Meet the requirements of the FUME System through execution of local processes and procedures.
  • Use and encourage Lean tools to achieve success
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
