About The Position

The Associate Director of Human Resource Operations plays a key role within the organization, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources. This individual is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations. The position requires a high level of expertise in human resource functions and the ability to manage complex HR responsibilities within a dynamic and evolving company environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in human resources operations, including Payroll administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to build rapport and establish credibility with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a proven ability to manage challenging situations and achieve positive results.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
  • Ability to lead through change and ambiguity, demonstrating resilience and a growth mindset.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to attend business related events or activities.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: The Associate Director manages all payroll processes, ensuring that payroll is processed accurately and on time. This includes maintaining compliance with tax regulations and labor laws to guarantee that all payments are correct and legal.
  • Reporting and Audit Support: manages all data and reporting required for audit, finance, ESG and other data and reporting requests.
  • Employee Data Management: Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and current employee records, such as personal details, job descriptions, performance evaluations, and training records, while ensuring full compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Responsible for managing onboarding logistics, introducing new employees to the company culture, and ensuring completion of all necessary documentation.
  • Offboarding: Ensures that the offboarding process is handled constructively, including conducting thorough exit interviews and managing the return of all company property.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the company’s HR practices are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
  • Budget Preparation: Responsible for preparing and managing departmental and project budgets, as well as ensuring timely remittance of invoices to vendors.
  • Performance Management: Manages the entire annual performance management process, ensuring that objectives are established; mid-year and annual assessments are tracked in SuccessFactors.
  • Data Analysis: Develop HR metrics, prepare and analyze data for comprehensive reporting, and leveraging technology to enhance HR initiatives.
  • Staff Management: Oversees HR staff, evaluates their performance, provides necessary training, and ensures a positive and productive work environment.
