About The Position

The Associate Director of Global Scientific Communications/Publications in Oncology plays a crucial role within the Global Medical Oncology team, serving as a strategic partner across various functions including commercial, regulatory, clinical, and market access. This position is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of scientific publication activities, ensuring alignment with the overall medical and brand strategy to support transformative therapies for cancer patients.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in life sciences (e.g., MD, Ph.D., Pharm.D.).
  • Medical/Scientific/Clinical background in Oncology.
  • Demonstrated experience in Scientific Communications/Medical Affairs within the Pharma/Biotech industry.
  • Experience managing publication agencies and budget forecasting.
  • Knowledge of industry guidelines for data dissemination and interactions with healthcare providers.

  • Experience in supervising and managing medical writing tasks and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy development and execution of scientific publications activities for Hematology/Oncology.
  • Engage with key thought leaders in Oncology and collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, regions, clinical development, and the broader medical team.
  • Generate annual publications plans based on scientific and unmet medical needs in conjunction with project teams.
  • Manage external vendors and medical agencies for medical content planning and execution, including budget management.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and areas for competitive advantage through partnerships and systematic insight gathering.
