About The Position

The Associate Director, Global Procurement at BioIVT is responsible for leading a team that manages the sourcing of biospecimen materials, indirect materials, capital equipment, and related services on a global scale. This role involves strategic procurement initiatives, collaboration with business units, and the development of supplier relationships to enhance the supply chain strategy. The position emphasizes safety culture, quality, cost stewardship, and site performance, making it a critical leadership role within the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a B.S./B.A. in science, engineering, or business.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of multi-disciplined procurement experience.
  • Preferred experience in a technical, operational, or business role within the relevant industry.
  • Proficiency with Sage X3 and/or other ERP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent analytic, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Prior cGMP experience in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and/or medical device industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs including MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a team laboratory environment with knowledge or familiarity with scientific terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team responsible for sourcing local/regional direct biospecimen materials, indirect materials, capital equipment, and related services.
  • Ensure continuity of all indirect material/services supply for BioIVT site operations by managing suppliers and engaging with site stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute regional sub-category strategies and capital investment strategies, ensuring compliance and governance on major capital projects.
  • Support BioIVT leased sites through the lease cycle by liaising with the Lease Broker and maintaining a manifest of leases.
  • Focus on strategic value capture at the site level, including spend segmentation, risk identification, and savings opportunities through supplier renegotiation.
  • Lead site-based risk assessments and business continuity processes, demonstrating a proactive risk management mindset.
  • Establish and maintain recurring discussions with BU Leaders and peer functional leads to drive the Supplier Relationship Management program.
  • Achieve and exceed metrics such as value beyond savings, purchase price variance (PPV), receipt to promise (RTP), inventory, and invoicing compliance.
  • Lead efforts for standardization of raw materials and consumables, driving cost savings through alternate/secondary sourcing.
  • Provide leadership to department personnel executing sourcing events and lead the annual budget process for site operations.
  • Manage procure to pay transactions, enforce policies and internal controls, and support end-users in sourcing activities and approvals.
  • Oversee contract management, creation of legal documents, and support LOIs, SOWs, and MSAs across the site and network.
