This growing practice advises clients on matters involving fraud and misconduct investigations, forensic accounting and financial analysis, post-acquisition and other commercial disputes, bribery and corruption matters, asset tracing, investigative due diligence, litigation support, regulatory response, and other sensitive situations requiring rigorous analysis, sound judgment, and clear communication. This is not a standalone niche practice being built in isolation. It is being developed within a powerful platform that already has deep client relationships, strong market credibility, and meaningful adjacency to restructuring, valuation, capital solutions, and other advisory capabilities. As an Associate Director in Hilco Global Investigations & Dispute Resolution practice, you will oversee complex matters, manage multiple engagement teams, and serve as a key leader in both execution and practice development. You will play a significant role in how the practice delivers work, develops talent, and expands in the market. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related discipline required; candidates with master’s degrees (e.g., MAcc, MBA, MSF, or similar) are strongly encouraged and will be prioritized
  • Approximately 7–10 years of relevant experience in investigations, forensic accounting, disputes, compliance, valuation, restructuring advisory, or related consulting services
  • Significant experience managing complex, multi-workstream matters and interacting directly with senior clients and counsel
  • Strong technical grounding in accounting, finance, investigations, and dispute-related analyses
  • Demonstrated leadership in engagement oversight, team development, and client service
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong judgment and ability to operate effectively in sensitive, high-stakes, deadline-driven matters
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs
  • Candidates are expected to onsite at Hilco Global offices and work primarily in person with their teams. Travel may be required depending on client needs and engagement demands.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred; additional credentials such as CFE, CAMS, CFA, CFF, or ABV are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Lead large or high-complexity investigations, forensic accounting matters, and commercial disputes from planning through delivery
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and engagement teams, ensuring quality, responsiveness, and defensibility of analyses and conclusions
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, external counsel, and other senior stakeholders
  • Direct preparation and review of reports, presentations, accounting analyses, damages analyses, and other key deliverables
  • Manage engagement economics, resource planning, timelines, and risk considerations
  • Coach and develop managers, associates, and Analyst across active matters
  • Help drive consistency in methodology, quality standards, and execution across the practice
  • Support proposals, pitches, thought leadership, recruiting, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and connect clients with Hilco’s broader capabilities where relevant
