About The Position

Based on our solid scientific, technological and clinical base, we are now building a commercial organization to launch and drive revenues for our diverse portfolio. We are seeking a strong Global Commercialization Associate Director to support in our build towards global commercial launch readiness for our portfolio in priority markets. In this role, you will work as part of the global commercialization strategy team, collaborating closely with teams across the organization, including the R&D program management team to lead and support the initialization and management of strong processes and governance, creating the right infrastructure for decision making for our portfolios. You will also support the implementation of the global commercialization strategy for the BioNTech portfolio including project management of key workstreams and meeting management for critical commercial governance forums. You will consider all areas of commercialization and market launch readiness including local requirements for regulatory, pricing/reimbursement, compliance, and supply planning, engaging appropriate cross-functional stakeholders throughout the process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Business, Economics, or Life Sciences.
  • Life sciences, biotech, or pharma company professional with 6 plus years of experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent organization, analytical & communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and changing priorities, multitask, and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration, team- and alignment-building skills: Resourceful & driven, enthusiastic to collaborate across Commercial Team and other departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a proactive and adaptable mindset to navigate change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Expert in utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Requirements: MBA, PhD
  • Knowledge of oncology and infectious diseases is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Proven project management with ability to manage/chair meetings, set agendas, manage multiple cross functional stakeholders with clear actions within tight timeframes
  • Strong ability to manage and drive market-level co-commercialization governance & operations, collaborating with multiple cross functional stakeholders to create appropriate market infrastructure
  • Ability to support and collaborate with the global commercialization leadership team and cross-functional groups (e.g., DAIAI, R&D, Regulatory affairs, Access, Finance, and Medical Affairs) for the development and implementation of strategic and executional initiatives
  • Proven experience to work with diverse cross-functional teams to operationalize strategic guidance, driving performance and business objectives
  • Experience of monitoring and tracking budget requirements including managing vendor partnerships to ensure key activities are executed to plan, cost-effective, and within budget
  • Strong understanding of requirements for launch success, including enabling functions and market-level operational requirements
  • Strong understanding of global markets, including new product development, regulatory landscape, reimbursement environment, and healthcare system dynamics
  • Knowledge of R&D processes, governance forums and frameworks
  • Preference for experience working with a diversified portfolio, including oncology and infectious disease
  • Accountable for key initiatives to drive excellence in culture, operations and ways of working
