This position is responsible for leading and managing food safety and quality assurance expectations across Tyson Foods’ beef operations. The role provides technical and professional leadership to ensure consistent execution of food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and quality standards throughout beef harvesting, fabrication, and further processing facilities. Key responsibilities include leading and developing a high-performing FSQA team supporting beef plants; establishing clear expectations to drive conformance to Tyson specifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines; and serving as a technical resource for complex food safety and quality issues, product disposition decisions, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating food safety and business risk while enabling operational flexibility and business growth. The Associate Director – Beef FSQA is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of beef production processes and associated food safety, quality, and regulatory risks. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Regulatory, R&D, Animal Welfare, Supply Chain, Claims, Sales, and Business Unit leadership to drive sustained improvements in plant performance and system effectiveness. This position reports directly to the Senior Director – Beef FSQA. This position will be based in the Corporate office and will serve as a leader, coach, and mentor for direct reports. The role will also partner closely with Tyson business stakeholders to support operational execution, innovation, and strategic initiatives within the Beef business unit.
