About The Position

This position is responsible for the end-to-end strategy, execution, and delivery of talent acquisition for executive level (VP and above) roles across all functions globally for Vertex. As a key member of the Executive Search Center of Excellence, the role involves implementing effective search strategies to attract diverse talent, leveraging internal and external resources for talent mapping and leadership assessment, and managing relationships with third-party executive search partners. The position also focuses on collaboration with various HR functions to drive innovation in recruitment practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of in-house and/or search firm experience recruiting for companies in the life sciences sector.
  • Experience leading executive searches globally in Commercial, Finance, Legal, and IT preferred.
  • Proven track record of working with complex organizations during periods of growth and change.
  • Keen business acumen and excellent decision-making abilities.
  • Data-driven and analytical problem solver.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with TA and HR tech stack (Workday, Beamery, Visier, SmartSheet, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full life cycle recruiting efforts for VP level and above roles across Vertex's enterprise.
  • Create and communicate robust recruiting strategies in partnership with HRBPs and senior leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments and facilitate internal discussions regarding candidates.
  • Develop competitive offer packages in collaboration with Compensation partners.
  • Embed Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) in executive search practices to enhance candidate diversity.
  • Work with the Operations Lead on search/project logistics.
  • Manage existing external preferred partners and evaluate future partners.
  • Monitor and report on key talent acquisition metrics and cost avoidance for the Global Executive Search function.
  • Leverage Talent Intelligence and senior leadership's network to build talent pipelines for critical roles.
  • Contribute to the Global Executive Search knowledge base through data stewardship.
