The Associate Director of Education Studies Program provides administrative leadership to the program, collaborates with faculty colleagues, teaches and advises undergraduate students, and engages with local and national education leaders. This hybrid role of administration and teaching requires an entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and a range of skills to sustain a multidisciplinary academic program. This position carries an instructional faculty appointment as a lecturer in an appropriate academic department at Yale. Together with the Faculty Director, the Associate Director provides dynamic leadership for Education Studies, working with faculty and staff from departments, schools, and programs throughout the University to develop curriculum and other intellectual opportunities for the study of education. The role includes developing a comprehensive and sustainable strategic plan for the Education Studies Program, managing admissions, curriculum and budget, student workers, event planning, communication needs, student professional development, and other activities as needed.
