About The Position
The Associate Director, Donor Support at the American Endowment Foundation (AEF) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the donor support team and administrative functions. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about philanthropy and has a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to donors and financial advisors. The Associate Director will implement strategic objectives set forth by the Senior Director of Client Experience, ensuring that the service experience meets the high expectations of AEF's donors. This role requires a collaborative approach, as the Associate Director will lead a team of associates dedicated to responding to the needs of donors and financial professionals in a timely and personalized manner. In this role, the Associate Director will be tasked with building and training the donor support team, assigning work, and evaluating both individual and team performance. The focus will be on enhancing donor satisfaction and retention through effective communication of team objectives and performance expectations. The Associate Director will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, technology, and overall service quality. This includes analyzing issues related to onboarding new donors and ensuring responsive service to existing advisors. The Associate Director will maintain relationships with donors throughout the lifecycle of their donor-advised funds, providing direct service as needed and answering inquiries from donors and financial professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of AEF's business model and the ability to educate donors on the use of AEF's online portal and other resources. The Associate Director will also support internal operations and development teams in managing program requirements and outreach to donors as necessary. Overall, this role is crucial in ensuring that AEF continues to be seen as a valued partner in supporting philanthropic goals.
