About The Position

The DT GEC Enterprise Architecture Lead is a visionary leadership role responsible for architecting the digital landscape for organizations within Enterprise Services Digital. This partnership role will be supporting Application Strategy & Transformation organization with the initial focus on supporting critical programs for the Global Ethics & Compliance programs. This role will lead all RTX architects (direct reports and not) and architecture efforts for the Global Ethics & Compliance function and any projects required to exit the Deferred Prosecution Agreement. This leader is adept at engaging stakeholders to translate aerospace and defense regulation into business and technology requirements. Success requires the ability to balance the standardization and harmonization of business processes and technology with the flexibility to accommodate operational models across business units. This leader develops roadmaps and solutions that fully address the transformation of infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data and analytics capability to maintain superior compliance through digital enablement of key business processes

Requirements

  • Typically, a minimum of 12+ years’ experience in digital technology or a related role, with a strong focus on application solutions and design; and 8+ years related work experience.
  • Experience supporting aerospace and defense compliance with ITAR, EAR and similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience architecting system and process improvements across a variety of technologies
  • Experience architecting ethics & compliance capabilities
  • Experience architecting information systems using formal security and compliance assessment frameworks.
  • Experience leading federated architecture efforts across operating units and global regions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a federated architecture framework and system specific architectures to ensure each business unit’s unique GEC needs are addressed while maintaining a unified corporate architecture.
  • Work with executives and stakeholders from all business units to align GEC initiatives with corporate-wide goals and each unit’s objectives, ensuring the architecture supports shared services and unit-specific needs.
  • Define a unified roadmap for GEC technology transformations that compliments other significant enterprise strategies (e.g. cloud and ERP) and realizes a oneRTX vision for future systems and services.
  • Design systems that accommodate varying regulatory environments and trade practices specific to each unit’s regions, customer’s and operating environment.
  • Implement unified approaches for data governance, compliance, and security across all operating units, ensuring compliance with EAR, ITAR, FCPA, TINA, etc.
  • Vet and select trade and compliance tools that can operate in different environments, ensuring scalability and interoperability across units, to include evaluation of current technologies employed by all units.
  • Leverages technology strategically, especially GEC solutions, automation, analytics and AI, to simplify compliance, improve employee experience and prevent escapes.
  • Leads all areas of responsibility effectively in multiple contexts, including executive influence, organizational change management, architecture processes and governance, and supervision of direct reporting organization.
  • Collaborates across legal, digital technology, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering to maintain a culture of compliance, best practice and innovation.
