About the position

Associate Director, Data Strategy, Digital & Infrastructure will shape the oncology business intelligence infrastructure and data strategy, ensuring commercial and medical teams have access to high-quality, actionable data for key decisions. This person will work with IT to lead major data and digital transformation projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional teams for smooth execution and ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, ensuring robust data governance, integrity, and compliance across commercial data workflows
  • Manage and oversee the development and implementation of Data warehouse, Data Aggregation, MDM, CRM, Marketing cloud, and Analytics Reporting platforms to support oncology operations
  • Lead data acquisition efforts, integrating diverse data sources (Sales, Claims, EMR, Specialty Pharmacy, Copay, etc.) into a centralized data infrastructure
  • Design and maintain a data quality framework to ensure high-fidelity commercial data, proactively identifying and addressing data integrity issues
  • Build and manage relationships with data vendors, negotiating contracts, overseeing data delivery, and ensuring alignment with organizational needs
  • Oversee the development of BI and analytics solutions, ensuring high-quality reporting and insights to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance data processing, integration, and analytics capabilities
  • Partner with IT, analytics & forecasting, and other business units to align data strategies with business objectives and enhance data utilization
  • Lead large-scale data and progressive digital initiatives, managing project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional teams to drive seamless execution and continuous improvement
  • Ensure post-implementation sustainment of commercial systems, continuously optimizing operations to support evolving business needs

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo), sales and claims datasets, and commercial data platforms
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI), data engineering platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), and data warehousing
  • Familiarity with industry-standard systems such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Reltio, and other commercial analytics platforms
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and vendor relationships, ensuring seamless data acquisition and integration
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data insights into actionable business strategies
  • Experience implementing and enforcing data governance policies, security, and compliance standards in a regulated environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial analytics / forecasting with increasing responsibility and scope
  • 5+ years in data management, strategy, or analytics, with a strong focus on the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams

Benefits

  • The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $167,800 – $246,700; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
