About The Position

Participates in establishing and implementing the company's commercial data strategy, governance, systems, and operational data management. Responsible for developing processes, systems, and tools to deliver data to a broad range of internal functional areas including Field Operations, Commercial Insights & Analytics, Market Access, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Compliance, and Medical Affairs. Ensures delivery of a broad range of data management functions, including data acquisition and contracting, data governance, data aggregation, QC, master data management, and data warehousing. Responsible for understanding the marketplace, competition, customers, payers, IT, and product dynamics to manage and execute our data management strategy. May partner with the leaders or members of all teams that consume data to understand their operational requirements and balance immediate demands with future capabilities needed to provide scalability and accurate and timely data access. Works closely with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to deliver core capabilities.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in business, science or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics or statistics and 10+ years of experience in multiple data management and/or field operations support functions.
  • Experience within the CNS therapeutic area preferred OR Master's degree in similar disciplines or MBA preferred and 8+ years of experience as noted above.
  • Previous managerial / functional management experience also required.
  • Requires a broad understanding of the processes, procedures, and systems used to accomplish the team’s work.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the activities of a sub-function within the Data Management team, which may include both direct and indirect supervision of subordinates at the Analyst and Manager level.
  • Works on contracts with some or all external data suppliers, ensuring quality and appropriate use across the organization.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of all data assets.
  • Leads data aggregation, including management of partners and delivery of related patient portal solutions and/or other dashboards.
  • Manages commercial data warehousing, including management of partners and delivery of related data feeds to downstream parties and associated business intelligence platforms.
  • Oversees master data management solutions for HCPs, HCOs, Payers, etc., and related operational activities like data stewardship and change management.
  • Leads regular data quality control (QC) standards and processes.
  • Ensures appropriate testing is conducted when changes occur and/or new data is onboarded.
  • Leads the internal data governance process and communicates data-related issues to all key stakeholders.
  • Serves as a consultative advisor to all internal data consumers and evaluates new data sources based on business needs.
  • Ensures that deliverables are accurate, complete, and timely and that they are implemented in a compliant manner.
  • Proactively resolves data issues and communicates status to all users in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and continually identifies opportunities to enhance data management systems and processes to deliver operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Selects, leads, develops, mentors, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
