About The Position

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead data management initiatives for complex clinical studies, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and actionable data across the drug development lifecycle. You will oversee outsourced clinical data management teams, collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations and quality assurance, and drive best practices in clinical data oversight. The position emphasizes strategic leadership, hands-on problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure clinical study success. Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of clinical data management experience, including managing global studies using outsourced CDM models.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and expectations for clinical data systems, particularly 21 CFR Part 11.
• Experience with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary, remote or hybrid team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to improve data management processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field; ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee outsourced clinical data management (CDM) activities across global studies, from study startup through database lock and archiving.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for CROs, ensuring compliance with project plans, timelines, and regulatory standards including 21 CFR Part 11.
• Provide expert guidance to study teams on data-related decisions, resolving issues and escalating when necessary to maintain study integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations and Quality Assurance, to ensure data quality, traceability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance data management efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Mentor and guide data management professionals, fostering professional growth and high-performance standards.
