The Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has a challenging opportunity for an Associate Director, Contracts within the Fire Control Radar Products (FCRP) product area of the Radio Frequency Solutions sub-SBU. This role demands a multi-faceted, strategic Contracts Leader to deal with complex and creative solutions to support U.S. Government (USG), Prime Contractors, and foreign customers across a broad technology portfolio that includes product development, new franchise captures, and production contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
  • Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies/procedures and the regulatory environment
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
  • Develop pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development process
  • Partner with Finance leadership to ensure financial targets are met by securing contract awards, negotiating contract payment terms, and working closely with the customer to ensure on-time payment
  • Lead complex negotiations with customers
  • Represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while developing and maintaining trusting relationships with complex customers
  • Manage a team of managers and individual contributors

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start
  • Experience with managing Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience in the development of proposals, proposal cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and negotiations
  • Experience leading direct reports
