We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join our Construction Claims and Disputes team. This is a pivotal role within HKA’s market-leading practice, offering high visibility with both clients and internal stakeholders, and the chance to make a tangible impact on complex, high-profile projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or other STEM field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Claims and Dispute Consulting including Litigation Support, Expert Reporting, and Client Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of Construction experience in Construction Management, Delay Analysis, Project Scheduling, Project Controls
  • Experience with construction documentation such as contracts, change orders, Construction Change Directives, Change Order Requests, Request For Information, submittals, daily reports, schedules, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Analyzing large volumes of data using Microsoft Excel
  • Primavera P6 or similar tools, with high levels of proficiency
  • Strong people management and development skillsets

Responsibilities

  • Leading and organization/filing of project documents
  • Leading and analysis of projects schedules
  • Development of as-built schedules based on project records
  • Preparation of graphics to depict findings
  • Analysis of labor and cost data
  • Performing or contributing to Expert Testimony including the preparation of reports and court documentation
  • Development of document chronologies
  • Report writing
  • People Management
