About The Position

Prescient is looking for a seasoned professional to join us as Associate Director within our Competitive Strategy business, based in our Jersey City, NJ office. As an Associate Director, your time will be divided as follows: 50% on project delivery, supporting client engagements across clinical, healthcare, and life sciences projects and 50% on business development, contributing to account growth and supporting senior team members. You will leverage your clinical or life sciences expertise to support the development and commercialization of portfolios, assets, and brands, integrating therapeutic, clinical, and commercial insight to help clients make confident, evidence-based decisions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, clinical sciences, healthcare, or related field (PhD, MD, MS, or MBA).
  • 3–7 years of experience in competitive intelligence, clinical development, healthcare consulting, or biopharmaceutical strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate clinical/scientific knowledge into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience supporting project delivery and client engagements, with some exposure to account management or business development.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to projects that answer strategic clinical, healthcare, or life sciences questions, ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Analyse clinical, market, and competitor data, develop insights, and support the creation of evidence-based client deliverables.
  • Assist in developing account plans and maintaining strong client relationships under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support business growth by contributing to proposals, client meetings, and identifying opportunities for additional engagements.
  • Help ensure projects run smoothly and that clients experience best-in-class service.
  • Bring scientific, clinical, or healthcare knowledge to projects, mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
  • Help collect and synthesize relevant market, clinical, and stakeholder information.
  • Attend key industry conferences to gather insights and interact with experts.
  • Contribute to development of content or publications that enhance Prescient’s brand in clinical and life sciences markets.
