The Associate Director of Community Engagement is responsible for successfully planning and managing fundraising events for the CHOC Children's Foundation that include, but are not limited to, the CHOC Walk in the Park, CHOC Cherishes Children Gala, CHOC Charity Classic, CHOC Night at the Honda Center and CHOC Walk related events. Ensures that all fundraising events are within budget, meet financial objectives, and appropriately represent CHOC Children's to the donor community. Responsible for sponsorship development, planning and execution of event logistics, communication planning and execution, vendor management, and volunteer recruitment and administration. Collaborates with the Senior Director, Special Events, Senior Associate Director, Special Events, the Special Events team, other Foundation and hospital staff, hospital leadership and volunteers to identify, cultivate and solicit individual and corporate prospects for sponsorship and in-kind donations. Has an annual fundraising minimum of $1.5+ million and adheres to fundraising best practices and benchmarks. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend other events on behalf of organization.
