Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director of Commercial Analytics and Forecasting to lead marketing analytics for the in-line products, emphasizing data-driven decision-making. This role requires a hands-on approach to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets. This role is based at Axsome's HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles.

  • Develop and maintain performance trackers while conducting comprehensive analytics for the commercial teams, providing insights to guide strategic and forecasting initiatives
  • Perform subnational analysis to advocate for local insights, identifying growth opportunities through descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analytics
  • Design and implement segmentation models to uncover potential growth areas; derive insights on market mapping and patient journeys, leveraging PTD and EMR datasets
  • Provide essential ad-hoc analytics for integrated and quarterly business reviews, collaborating closely with internal teams, including market research, data strategy, and commercial operations
  • Conduct demand forecasting initiatives using diverse methodologies and develop patient flow models for product valuation in collaboration with other stakeholders
  • Manage multiple analytics projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to critical deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Math, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or, Operations Research) is required; Master's/PhD degree is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing analytics experience
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and analytics platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of secondary and syndicates data sources
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong presentation ability
  • Ability to work on site Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
  • Proven experience working with pharmaceutical data sources including patient claims data (IQVIA/SHA), sales force activity data, and real-world evidence data (MarketScan, Optum claims)
  • Proficiency with programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and CRM systems (Salesforce, Veeva)
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and predictive modeling
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis to various stakeholders
  • CNS therapeutic knowledge preferred, but not required
