About The Position

As an Associate Director, you'll be responsible for oversight of a team of traders and all campaign management activities they perform. You will be accountable for ensuring all retail/commerce best practices are followed by your team and campaigns are set up, managed, and operated according to strategic plans. You will also assist in final QA of campaigns prior to launch. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement and working to implement improved processes with your team. You will be the representative for the Precision Capability with other account leaders and should be able to explain to internal/client leadership complex Commerce media concepts in an easily digestible manner. Most importantly, you must possess a strong inner drive to bring your knowledge and hands-on self-serve expertise across Amazon's programmatic offerings to a growing team, enjoy working with some of the finest minds in the industry, and want to be a part of something truly unique that will have a lasting impact on some of the world's biggest brands.

Requirements

  • Six to nine years of deep experience in display and video media buying
  • Expertise in activating media within the Amazon DSP and other Amazon self-serve placements
  • Basic level of understanding of Amazon Search campaigns and their importance to driving success of DSP performance
  • In-depth understanding of media planning and programmatic buying
  • Proven experience with at least three or more years of people management experience, overseeing three or more reports in an account management/client services team
  • Strong fluency with the digital media ecosystem
  • Extensive experience in a client service position or role
  • The ability to organize and manage your work and that of the junior staff on the team
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Solid presentation skills and presenting to key stakeholders or senior leadership with confidence
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • A four-year college degree

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation

Responsibilities

  • Directing and managing the daily workflow of Digitas' commerce campaigns, including plan development, campaign activation and maintenance, and post-buy recaps
  • Interfacing with media strategy teams to build strategic shopper-focused campaign plans, communicate recommendations, and identify and deliver new solutions in a collaborative fashion
  • Serving as a true expert and educating internal precision teams on the Amazon DSP offerings, campaign setup and optimization strategies
  • Supporting in the development of the Commerce Media COE and spreading the Commerce Mindset throughout the entire Agency
  • Assuming accountability and ownership of campaign execution in platforms such as Amazon, Roundel, Walmart+, KPM for assigned client accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with commerce media partners
  • Developing and maintaining quality control procedures for campaign implementations
  • Understanding and effectively communicating our agency's value proposition in the commerce space, as related to the growth of current and prospective agency accounts
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance
  • Participating in forecasting exercises for senior management
  • Embracing and encouraging a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
