The Associate Director of Clinical Services (RN) provides strategic clinical and operational leadership for designated service lines within the Access Center. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services (RN), this role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, upholding consistent clinical standards, and driving efficient, reliable workflows. The Associate Director oversees daily operations, supports and develops clinical staff, and collaborates across teams to advance quality, training, and process improvement initiatives. This leader plays a key role in strengthening patient-centered outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence within the Access Center.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license; PA Compact license, New Jersey Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience, preferably overseeing multidisciplinary teams or complex clinical operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in an Access Center, clinical call center environment, or centralized triage model.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, drive performance outcomes, support high-reliability processes, and manage change initiatives at scale.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree
  • Prior leadership experience in an outpatient practice or ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of daily clinical operations for assigned service lines, ensuring the delivery of safe, accurate, and efficient patient care across assigned specialties/clinical PODs.
  • Serve as a senior clinical leader and key escalation point for Supervisors, guiding decision-making and supporting complex clinical judgments.
  • Partner with leaders in Clinical Training, Quality Assurance, and other cross-functional teams to strengthen onboarding programs, validate competencies, and advance ongoing professional development.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate Supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with practices, providers, clerical PODs and other organizational stakeholders to resolve clinical concerns, enhance communication, and strengthen systemwide alignment.
  • Lead and support the design, implementation, and assessment of process improvements, workflow innovations, and operational enhancements that drive clinical excellence.
  • Promote effective resource stewardship, contributing to strategic staffing decisions, operational planning, and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities and organizational initiatives as assigned.
