Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, or a related discipline).
  • 5+ years of analytics & reporting experience in healthcare, including medical economics, cost/utilization analysis, and membership trend reporting.
  • 2+ years in a lead/management role over multiple team members.
  • Experience directing and developing analytic talent.
  • 5+ years of SQL and SAS programming experience working with large healthcare datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extract meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Effective collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments, working seamlessly with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of prior authorization processes, reporting, and key performance indicators (e.g., approval rates, turnaround times, PMPM, trend drivers), with a working knowledge of healthcare claims and reimbursement methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience presenting actionable business insights to client executives and internal leadership is preferred.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models and utilization management frameworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analyses of healthcare authorization, claims, membership data, and clinical outcomes to uncover cost drivers, utilization trends, and opportunities for integrated care solutions using SAS, SQL, Excel, and Power BI (or similar BI tools).
  • Act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, proactively identifying business challenges, refining analytical approaches, and delivering strategic recommendations that drive enterprise-wide decision-making.
  • Design and implement standardized, scalable analytical frameworks that enhance efficiency, consistency, and impact across internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead the development of regulatory and ad hoc reporting strategies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Craft high-impact presentations and data visualizations that articulate complex analytical findings in clear, actionable ways for executive and client audiences.
  • Serve as a key liaison between analytics, clinical, product, and account management teams to drive alignment, foster collaboration, and deliver high-quality insights that enhance Evolent’s market position.
