The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: Role Overview: RTX currently has an exciting DT position available that supports the RTX mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking a WAN Service Lead that will be working in a highly collaborative, agile, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The WAN Service Lead will employ the CORE OS methodology and analytics into WAN operations to ensure alignment to RTX Enterprise Service standards. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the classified WANs, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security compliance. This role will be instrumental in building out the team from the ground up and creating a robust Network Transport-as-a-Service capability for the business. This team will be responsible for the maintenance, coordination, and monitoring of multiple classified WAN infrastructures, and ensure seamless integration of classified WAN services with organizational needs. Continuously assess and enhance classified WAN efficiency and reliability, implementing improvements as needed. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and policies. Provide strategic guidance on capacity planning, and scalability to meet evolving organizational requirements. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data center operations. Responsible for driving the classified WAN quality and process improvement initiatives throughout the Classified Digital Services (CDS) networks.

Requirements

  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 10 years experience.
  • 10+ years experience in leading large-scale network modernization projects.
  • 10+ years experience developing service delivery models and delivering network services in classified or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with operating in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
  • 5+ years experience in network operations leveraging Cisco SDWAN and Palo Alto Firewall technologies
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing classified information systems
  • Active TS clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and program access as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Team : Establish and build the CDS WAN Service Delivery team, developing the organizational structure and hiring key talent.
  • Lead classified WAN Modernization: Drive the implementation of WAN modernization initiatives using Cisco SD-WAN technologies and integrate Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls for secure network transport.
  • Develop Service Model: Design and deliver a Network Transport-as-a-Service model that aligns with business needs and enhances overall service delivery.
  • Ensure Integration and Compliance: Collaborate closely with other infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with classified environment standards.
  • Deliver Classified Network Transport-as-a-Service: Ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable day-to-day operations, including service availability, performance management, incident response, and continuous improvement across the enterprise WANs.
  • Partner closely with cybersecurity teams: Ensuring classified WAN architecture, operations, and service delivery align with security standards, risk posture, and compliance requirements.
