About The Position

The Associate Director, Career Education & Outreach at North Central College will lead initiatives to engage students in their career development process. This role focuses on fostering a culture of career exploration and readiness, developing proactive career education efforts, mentoring student employees, and guiding students through various career-related processes. The Associate Director will also play a key role in employer engagement to enhance experiential learning opportunities for students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in career development, higher education, or student affairs.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead and execute a student engagement strategy to connect students with appropriate career resources and support.
• Design and deliver in-person and virtual customized career education on various topics for students and campus partners.
• Manage communication plans that highlight key career center initiatives for target audiences.
• Partner with student organizations, faculty, and campus departments to promote career center offerings.
• Collect and use student feedback to improve career center offerings and outcomes.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of Career Peer Advisors and student interns.
• Provide support for the implementation of the All-College Career Readiness Requirement.
• Engage students and alumni with the First Destination Survey and Reporting.
• Conduct one-on-one career advising appointments with students.
• Oversee the Cardinal Career Closet to increase access to professional attire for students.
• Advance the CCPD's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
