About The Position

As the Associate Director, Requirements and Capabilities – Cryptography and Cross Domain Solutions, you will be responsible for identifying, shaping and winning new business for the team. You will brief the US Department of War (DoW) and Government senior leaders, lead white paper and proposal development, lead capture teams, qualify, negotiate and close new and additional business opportunities. You will be expected to provide major input in product development and planning to ensure responsiveness to market and customer requirements. Lead strategic planning and establish strategic relationships with potential new Government and non-Government customers and will be expected to make recommendations regarding potential new markets that would exploit Collins’ core competencies and products. Evaluate competitor solutions and assess the company positioning against the competitive solutions and trends. Position can be located near the following Collins Aerospace site locations: Cedar Rapids IA, Richardson TX, El Segundo CA, Largo, FL, Marlborough, MA, DC area. However, we will consider 100% Remote for exceptional candidates. The successful candidate will work with a team (cross-functional and cross-enterprise) of Requirements & Capabilities and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to identify, influence, pursue and capture new business in the portfolio Day-to-day activity includes responsibility for identifying, developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and customers Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities and translate those insights into strategic direction for product development engineering Be a trusted source of information for new and upcoming cryptographic and secure communications development activities Develop and present compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis to senior internal stakeholders Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Working level knowledge of U.S. military CONOPs related to secure communications and cryptography
  • Experience with the lifecycle of the pursuit, order and capture process

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience with a cryptographic product/systems prime contractor
  • Proven track record closing deals, building partnerships, or driving revenue in high-growth/fast-paced environments
  • Deep understanding of cryptographic principles, cryptographic protocols
  • Experience working with the NSA and others in the Intelligence Community and Military Services
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong decision making
