About The Position

The M&A / Business Development Associate Director will play a critical role in advancing Perrigo's growth strategy by identifying, structuring, and executing strategic transactions across our Consumer Self-Care portfolio. This individual will manage end-to-end M&A and divestment projects in a highly cross-functional environment, while also driving licensing opportunities to enhance Perrigo's product pipeline with external innovation. This role requires strong financial acumen, deal execution experience, and the ability to influence across diverse internal and external stakeholders in a global, matrixed environment. This position will be based out of our Morristown, NJ office.

Requirements

  • Typically these skills are acquired with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in M&A, Business Development, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting, ideally within the pharmaceutical, consumer health, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of legal, IP, regulatory, and supply chain considerations in consumer health/OTC pharma is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a matrixed, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while fostering team collaboration.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to build strong relationships in a global business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of divestment projects, from strategy development to execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams of internal experts and external advisors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition targets aligned with Perrigo's M&A strategy.
  • Leverage external networks, strategic partners, and advanced tools (including AI) to source opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the global consumer health and OTC pharma industry.
  • Manage transactions from due diligence through deal signing, closing, and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, regulatory, supply chain, commercial) and external advisors to drive execution excellence.
  • Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of licensing agreements.
  • Partner closely with the Scientific Affairs and Rx-to-OTC switch team to strengthen Perrigo's product portfolio.
  • Conduct targeted market analyses, competitor assessments, and development of competitor profiles.
  • Provide actionable insights to inform Perrigo's corporate strategy and M&A pipeline.
