Verizon is seeking an Associate Director to serve as the lead architect for Corporate Security’s operational ecosystem. This position is responsible for integrating five independent verticals—Corporate Protection, International, Domestic, Security Programs, and Platforms—into a single, high-performance collective. The primary objective is to ensure the Corporate Security organization operates as a unified entity through the implementation of standardized processes, integrated workflows, and shared operational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Eight or more years of experience leading strategic projects and initiatives, or organizational design within a highly matrixed and regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize business workflows and reduce operational costs.
  • Experience leading end-to-end project lifecycles for cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations for C-suite leadership (e.g., CSO or COO).
  • Previous experience managing a "Rhythm of the Business" (ROB), including the coordination of quarterly business reviews and strategic planning cycles.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or a Master’s degree in a strategic or technical field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP or Prosci certifications.
  • Experience in Enterprise Business Architecture (EBA)—mapping how people, processes, and technology work together across an entire organization.
  • High proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or SQL to build automated KPI dashboards and data-driven evaluation models.
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated, large-scale enterprise (Telecommunications, Finance, or Big Tech).

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Vertical Coordination: Designing and implementing frameworks to ensure the seamless flow of data, and resources across all five security verticals.
  • Process Standardization: Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to identify effective localized practices and implementing them as standardized operating procedures across the broader organization.
  • Business Architecture: Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to evaluate and refine cross-functional workflows, focusing on the removal of operational redundancies and the improvement of response times.
  • Project Oversight: Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of transformation initiatives, ensuring that cross-vertical projects are delivered on schedule and remain aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Establishing and monitoring data-driven KPIs and evaluation models to assess the effectiveness of integration efforts and identify areas for further process optimization.
  • Strategic Governance: Managing the "Rhythm of the Business" for the Transformation Office, including the coordination of quarterly business reviews, strategic planning cycles, and leadership alignment sessions.
  • Leadership Advisory & Communications: Serving as a strategic partner to the Chief Security Officer, synthesizing operational data into formal briefings, reports, and board-level presentations regarding strategic progress.
