About The Position

The Associate Director, Brand Analytics for MDD/AAD/PTSD at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals is a pivotal role that serves as a proactive, consultative business partner to key brand stakeholders. This position is responsible for informing business decisions through rigorous analyses and actionable insights. The role requires providing strategic and tactical analytics support to the Central Nervous System (CNS) brand teams by analyzing and interpreting secondary market research data. The successful candidate will work with large syndicated pharmaceutical data sets, particularly from IQVIA, to deliver a comprehensive view of the market while noting the strengths and limitations of the data and approach used. In addition to data analysis, the Associate Director will develop market maps and patient journey models that inform business strategy and brand forecasting models. This includes maintaining both short-term and long-term inline brand forecasts, collaborating with brand leadership and finance teams to periodically update these forecasts. The role also involves decomposing forecasts into basic building blocks to create key performance tracking goals for the brand. The Associate Director will develop key driver models and segmentation schemas to group target healthcare professionals (HCPs) into actionable segments, providing inputs for sales force optimization, resource allocation, and multi-channel tactics across all customer types. Furthermore, the role includes developing response models and ROI measurements for various promotional channels, running marketing mix models, resource allocation simulations, and conducting pro-forma investment analyses. Communicating findings to brand leadership is a critical aspect of this position. The Associate Director will also support product and market opportunity assessments, situational analyses, trend identification, market sizing, and competitive landscape research. Managing metrics and key performance indicators to track brand strategy, tactics, and market performance is essential, as is developing and operationalizing ongoing reporting needs. The role requires proactively identifying business opportunities and insights through secondary data mining and sharing these insights with key stakeholders. By combining the best available information with robust analytics, the Associate Director will create a strategic advantage for the brand and drive decision-making processes. Collaboration with cross-functional partners to integrate analytics information with other sources, such as market research, is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the Associate Director should be capable of leading personnel with direct or indirect influence, including direct reports, vendors, and contract workers, and will be responsible for the budgeting process of the brand they oversee.
