The Undersea systems directorate is seeking a Program Associate Director to the Barracuda Program. This mine neutralization program is a Navy Program of Record where the current focus is on maturing the neutralizer from design through qualification testing, while simultaneously executing Engineering Development Model (EDM) production. The Barracuda is a semi-autonomous underwater system with sensors and effectors that reacquire and neutralize undersea mines. The PM will bring the program through production of contractor test assets, qualification testing, production of customer test assets, and eventually Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP), with initial operating capability (IOC) in 2029. The team is comprised of an integrated support structure for the operation of all programs, with an integrated functional and engineering team. The Barracuda Associate Director will be a critical member of the Undersea senior leadership team. This position will lead and manage a team and varied portfolio, acting as the lead customer interface. The role will set expectations and priorities for the portfolio, ensuring all customer needs are met and exceeded. A positive program culture is a critical element of the success of this program and therefore needs a leader who can drive this vision.
