About The Position

Position Summary: The Associate Director, Applied Research and Program Evaluation will oversee the evaluation for the Alzheimer Association’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and other applied research and evaluation opportunities. This role plays a pivotal role in advancing the impact and integrity of the RHTP grant through evaluation. This position leads these efforts through continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure program fidelity, effectiveness and scalability. This role will oversee the development and management of evaluation plans, including outcome measurement, surveys, and data collection and analysis. This is a grant funded position.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field (e.g., health policy, health administration, health services research, public health, epidemiology).
  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5+ years of professional work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Experience in planning, designing and implementing program evaluation, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Proficiency in designing studies using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Experience establishing and maintaining data quality processes and managing data systems for analytics and reporting
  • Advanced experience with statistical or qualitative (e.g., SPSS, SAS, MAXQDA) and ability to conduct analyses and interpret results accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and online academic search engines, virtual meeting platforms, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, publications, presentations and proposals

  • Master’s degree in health-related or social science discipline (e.g., health policy, health administration, health services research, public health, epidemiology) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement tailored evaluation plans for each component of the rural health transformation program (RHTP) grants, ensuring alignment with overall project goals across departments and with SME within the Association.
  • Create a data collection system and data management plan.
  • Create evaluation strategies for a variety of audiences and settings
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from RHTP activities, such as Project ECHO sessions, community learning sessions, and ALZPro interactions.

  • Create visual and narrative reports/dashboards to communicate the RHTP impact to a wide range of audiences, including internal teams and state-level teams.
  • Support applied research activities as needed, including but not limited to designing and conducting studies related to dementia care, quality improvement, health services research and implementation, and global partner opportunities in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Disseminate findings through publications, conference presentations, webinars, and internal learning sessions to advance dementia care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
