About The Position

The Associate Director, Americas Demand & Supply Chain Planning for Diagnostics is a key leadership role in the ISC (Integrated Supply Chain), reporting to the Director, BU Global Supply Chain Planning Diagnostic Solutions, and based in Sparks, Maryland, USA. This position is responsible for the execution of the U.S., LATAM, and Canada demand, supply, and inventory planning. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, the role ensures the right supply chain strategies and processes are in place to support regional business and customer needs. This leader drives decisions and improvements through a robust SIOP/IBP process, owning the U.S., LATAM, and Canada demand review and communicating in WW demand/supply meetings. Designs cost-effective supply chain solutions for the regions, partnering with Customer Service, Distribution, and Transportation to ensure DS business needs are met. Maintains a strong link to WW Business plans as well as regional activity through input from Marketing, Finance, Global Planning, and Platform teams. This role is accountable for demand and supply planning excellence, acts as a change agent, and drives the supply chain strategy for the U.S., LATAM, and Canada regions. A critical focus of the role is to improve key performance indicators including OTIF, backorder levels, and inventory health, ensuring product availability and service levels are aligned with business objectives. The role operates with a Customer First mindset, ensuring that planning decisions are aligned with customer expectations and service commitments. They foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the regional planning team. This leader will be focused on elevating the demand review process across all three regions, with the goal of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias, enabling more reliable supply planning and better service outcomes. She/he will also oversee order management activities in the regions as necessary, ensuring alignment between planning and execution to meet customer demand effectively. This individual will be a key member of the DS Global Supply Chain Planning LT and a key process leader in the multiple steps of the monthly SIOP/IBP process for the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations, preferably within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese fluent is a plus as well.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning, including demand, supply, inventory, and order management.
  • Proven experience applying AI-based demand forecasting techniques to improve forecast accuracy, responsiveness, and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Breadth of experience across multiple roles/functions within an Integrated Global Supply Chain organization is preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus in complex decision-making environments.
  • Strong financial management, organizational planning, and implementation skills.
  • Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving, and rapid decision-making capabilities.
  • Solid and broad supply chain functional expertise, with a clear understanding of the linkages from demand planning through production and distribution.
  • Deep knowledge of customer-facing and integrated supply chain processes, with a focus on service level improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, Advanced Planning Systems, and Demand Planning solutions; SAP experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and build a strong talent pipeline within the supply chain function.
  • Growth mindset and servant leadership style, with a passion for continuous improvement and team development.
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • BS Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the U.S., Canada & LATAM SIOP/IBP process, and relentless drives improvements in the process.
  • Leads monthly Demand Consensus Meetings across the regions, driving alignment with Marketing, Finance, and Business Leaders.
  • Reviews statistical models, metrics, and reports to reach consensus on the final forecast, including reconciliation with financial forecasts.
  • Responsible for U.S., LATAM and Canada Regions demand management for DS portfolio.
  • Acts as the owner of forecasts, the process and the system that develops them and its performance.
  • Accountable for US., LATAM and Canada DS Forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Accountable for US, LATAM and Canada OTIF, backorder, line fill and inventory performance.
  • Drives prompt resolution of supply risks by working closely with Global Supply Planning.
  • Provides leadership to the regional planning team with clear objectives and targets.
  • Develops supply chain talent in Demand and Supply Planning with a focus on E2E understanding.
  • Embraces ISC transformation by leading by example and supporting organization evolution.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely entry of the demand consensus figures into the Demand Planning books for the monthly pass to SNP.
  • Works closely with Marketing to understand strategies and implement demand objectives to achieve them.
  • Understand the products, market forces and customers that influence demand.
  • Develops a tracking mechanism of Risk and Opportunities of the Forecast/Market that is reviewed on Monthly basis.
  • Supports product launch strategy and execution and identifies opportunities for SKU rationalization to support portfolio optimization and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Initiates and drives improvements in the U.S., LATAM and Canada region through increased communication, market knowledge, system usage and influence.
  • Focuses on driving improvements in demand modeling, which provides greater accuracy and is directly linked to increased customer service.
  • Oversees order management activities and leads regional order management teams as necessary, ensuring alignment between planning and execution to meet customer demand effectively.
  • Supports and influences WW demand strategy and needs representing the Americas region.
  • Applies advanced analytics and AI-based demand forecasting techniques to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market dynamics.
  • Develops supply chain talent in Demand and Supply Planning with a focus on end-to-end planning, and builds a strong talent pipeline to support future organizational needs and succession planning.
  • Develops and maintains all master data and parameters associated with the demand planning process for U.S., LATAM and Canada products.
  • Leads SCM processes improvement initiatives.
