About The Position

The Associate Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate consolidated financial statements, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting technical accounting, audit activities, and continuous process improvements. This role also leads and develops accounting team members and partners cross-functionally to strengthen financial operations across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional accounting experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience required.
  • Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and highly collaborative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly financial close process to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial results, including cash flow statements and earnings-related schedules.
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and perform key internal control activities.
  • Assist with preparation of external financial reporting and ad-hoc management reporting.
  • Draft and review technical accounting memoranda.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and control frameworks.
  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support interim and year-end audit procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Review and assess ERP modules to identify opportunities for improved workflows and automation.
  • Implement new ERP functionalities and drive enhancements to financial systems.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies throughout the organization.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
