The Associate Director, Account Services is a strategic leader and relationship builder who guides integrated media strategy while elevating the performance and partnership experience for our clients. This role blends business acumen, media expertise, and people leadership — ensuring our work is credible, clear, collaborative, and grounded in care. You are responsible not only for what we deliver, but how we deliver it.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in media planning, direct marketing, and integrated strategy.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and complex accounts.
  • Experience owning, developing, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead full-funnel, cross-channel media strategies.
  • Experience contributing to business growth and participating in new business efforts.
  • Advanced analytical and mathematical skills; ability to interpret and translate performance data into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience evaluating and managing significant media budgets.
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to confidently sell and defend recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel (budget modeling, data analysis), PowerPoint (strategic storytelling), and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines with precision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster trust, enthusiasm, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to delegate effectively, motivate teams, and drive accountability.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity — no jargon, no noise.
  • Confidence representing the agency in high-stakes client environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee integrated media strategies aligned to client business objectives and growth goals.
  • Guide media planning across channels, ensuring recommendations are insight-driven, performance-oriented, and financially sound.
  • Ensure all opportunities are thoughtfully evaluated, tested with intention, and optimized based on measurable results.
  • Oversee campaign execution, pacing, performance reporting, and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic direction.
  • Serve as a primary senior contact and trusted advisor to assigned clients. Lead weekly calls, monthly meetings, QBRs, and strategic planning sessions with clarity and confidence.
  • Present, defend, and sell agency recommendations with credibility and heart.
  • Anticipate client needs, proactively identify growth opportunities, and contribute to increased billings aligned with client best interest.
  • Represent Attention Arc in client meetings, industry settings, and new business initiatives.
  • Oversee and execute day-to-day account management to ensure flawless execution, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Direct internal teams across planning, buying, research, activation, analytics, and operations to ensure alignment.
  • Manage deliverables, deadlines, scopes, and priorities across multiple accounts.
  • Partner closely with DRTV buyers and cross-functional teams to align strategy, execution, and performance outcomes.
  • Train, mentor, and develop Assistant Planners, Planners, Senior Planners, and cross-functional team members.
  • Provide clear, candid, and constructive feedback rooted in growth.
  • Foster collaboration across departments — modeling “No Sidelines” in action.
  • Support hiring and talent development initiatives within the department.
  • Lead by example in living the Arc Code — All In, No Sidelines, Move With Curiosity, Truth With Heart.
