About The Position

The Associate, Desktop Support at Pew Charitable Trusts plays a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of the organization are met effectively. This position is part of the Governance, Project Delivery, and User Experience department, which is responsible for managing technology projects, tool adoption, training, and desktop support. The Associate will provide on-site technical support to staff in Philadelphia during core days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and remote support to staff at all levels within the organization. This hybrid role requires specialized knowledge in desktop support, including familiarity with Pew's desktop programs and operating systems, as well as wireless technology and endpoint security. The Associate will be expected to contribute to the mentoring and professional development of junior staff within the desktop support team, although they will not have direct management responsibilities. The Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing exemplary customer service, assisting with conference room technology setup, and supporting staff onboarding and offboarding processes. They will also document changes to production desktop and handheld devices and create knowledge articles for both technical and non-technical users. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new technologies, ensuring that the desktop user experience is optimized for all staff members. The Associate will report to the Manager of Technology Support and will be based in Pew's Philadelphia office, with the flexibility to work remotely on certain days.
