About The Position

The Associate Designer will coordinate, under the direction of the Designer, the execution of garments in the Johnny Was line. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sewing and patternmaking to ensure completion of line.

Requirements

• Must be flexible, solution oriented and adaptive to changing priorities
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position

Responsibilities

• Sourcing new China and Domestic fabrics
• Testing prints/embroidery
• Ordering fabrics/buttons/zippers/trims
• Updating boards with body/fabric info
• Tracking DUPs packing list, samples/swatches/protos packing list, ETAS and prices of DUPS
• Creating line sheets (including drops, getting pricing)
• Sending lab dips; tie dye developments to overseas factories
• Develop spreadsheets for sample line (dups) in Excel and InDesign: Colors, dye house, ship and receive
• Meetings with Head Designer, Design Director and team throughout development and duplicate stages
• Splitting for dye house
• Arrange sample line (dups) and send to showrooms
• Package all info for China
• Enter style information in ERP system (RLM)
• Other duties as assigned
