What You’ll Get to Do As an Associate Designer , you’ll play a key role in our New Product Development team, supporting the design, development, and enhancement of architectural window, door, and glazing systems. You will help create high-performance, cost-effective products through technical design expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design, or Engineering Technology (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 2+ years of design or drafting experience in the architectural aluminum and glazing industry
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2019+) and Autodesk Inventor
• Knowledge of Revit and Autodesk Vault
• Strong communication and technical documentation abilities using Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of architectural aluminum systems, thermal/structural performance, and industry standards (AAMA, ASTM, IGMA)

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance architectural window and entrance systems to improve performance and manufacturability
• Develop detailed component and assembly designs using AutoCAD and Inventor
• Support performance validation through thermal and structural simulations and coordinate industry testing (AAMA, NFRC, etc.)
• Prepare product documentation including drawings, installation manuals, and technical data sheets
• Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and architects on product applications and specifications
• Process and maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure communication across departments
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to align design solutions with business goals
• Research materials, technologies, and trends to inform and innovate product designs
