Here is what you need to know about the job: We are seeking a creative, detail-driven, and proactive Associate Designer to join our womenswear design team. This role supports the full product lifecycle — from concept research and seasonal design development through to sample execution and final production handoff. The ideal candidate brings strong CAD/Illustrator skills, is highly organized, and can balance creativity with accuracy and speed in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or closely related field.
  • 1–2 years of design experience in branded, licensed, or commercial apparel; internship experience considered.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; 3D design experience (CLO, Browzwear, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of current fashion, youth culture, and licensed/trend apparel markets.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work under tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Research seasonal trends in graphics, trims, fabrics, washes, color, and silhouettes within the branded and licensed apparel market.
  • Support in developing seasonal design concepts, trend boards, color palettes, and inspiration presentations for internal and external partners.
  • Create accurate flat sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator, updating design details throughout development.
  • Assist with tech pack creation and updates, ensuring construction, artwork, placements, and trim details are correct.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (production, merchandising, and technical design) to ensure alignment from concept through sample execution.
  • Support licensed artwork development and revisions in collaboration with licensors and graphics partners, incorporating brand guidelines.
  • Track, organize, and manage seasonal samples, proto reviews, and presentation preparation.
  • Participate in fittings and design reviews, capturing notes and communicating revisions promptly.
  • Maintain digital and physical design libraries, including fabric, trim, artwork, and sample archives.
  • Support seasonal line presentations and showroom set-ups for internal and external meetings.
