About The Position

As the Associate Designer, the associate designer is responsible for the full design process and administration of specific product categories and collections. Working under the guidance of the Designer, Senior Designer, and the Design Director, you will be instrumental in developing innovative concepts, conducting trend research, and ensuring all products align with our brand's vision and business strategy. A key focus for this role will be on our outerwear pieces for one of our golf brand’s, which requires designing new and unique outerwear pieces. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop innovative, original designs, bodies, and fabrics, ensuring our collections remain at the forefront of the market.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant or Associate Designer.
  • Experience in menswear activewear is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience in outerwear design, including proven fabric development experience and a deep knowledge of performance fabrics.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creative direction of product lines, with a specific focus on the outerwear.
  • Conduct in-depth research to ensure product lines are consistent with the latest market trends and align with our business strategy.
  • Execute detailed Illustrator sketches and 3D CAD designs.
  • Provide fit comments and ensure the final product meets high-quality standards.
  • Work with the Design Director to establish a clear creative direction for fabric and print development.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Product Development teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Generate and maintain all technical packs for new and existing styles within our PLM system.
