About The Position

The Associate Design Director plays a key role within the Creative team, supporting and elevating the Club’s visual identity across all platforms. This leader will help oversee creative development, design excellence, and storytelling for Inter Miami CF, working collaboratively across Brand, Marketing, Partnerships, Community, and Sporting. This role will act as a creative lead on priority campaigns and content, ensuring the Club’s brand remains world-class, distinctive to Miami, culturally relevant, and consistent across all properties—from digital and social to stadium environments, merchandise, partner assets, and large-scale experiential moments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of design experience in sports, entertainment, agency, or global consumer brands.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating premium design, conceptual thinking, and culturally relevant creativity.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with working motion design ability (After Effects preferred).
  • Proven experience executing and evolving brand systems across digital, social, print, broadcast, and experiential environments.
  • Strong grasp of social-first design, content workflow, and multi-platform creative production.
  • Ability to lead creative from concept through delivery, with sharp attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience guiding designers, freelancers, and production partners.
  • Deep understanding of Miami culture, fútbol culture, and global creative trends.
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to translate culture, fan energy, and brand values into compelling design.
  • Curious, innovative thinker familiar with emerging creative platforms, motion trends, and design technologies.
  • Effective communicator with experience presenting creative direction to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring graphic designers and freelancers, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Creative Director in leading the visual creative strategy for the Club, ensuring design excellence and brand consistency across all media.
  • Concept, design, and oversee execution of high-impact creative campaigns for major tentpoles (season launches, player signings, kit launches, stadium milestones, partner campaigns, cultural moments, and matchday themes).
  • Maintain and evolve the Club’s design language, including typography, color, graphic systems, illustration style, iconography, motion direction, and brand architecture.
  • Lead design development for multi-channel content, including video graphics, social, digital, OOH, print, broadcast, stadium, signage, and merchandise and retail creative.
  • Partner closely with Digital teams to bring storytelling to life in fresh, modern, shareable formats.
  • Work closely with Partnerships to concept and activate brand-aligned partner creative and presentation materials.
  • Support Marketing, Community, and Sporting departments with creative needs that strengthen brand consistency and cultural relevance.
  • Provide direction and feedback to designers, freelancers, and agencies.
  • Lead creative from concept through delivery, managing timelines, workflows, and quality control.
  • Present creative concepts and strategy to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Help build a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence within the creative team.
  • Identify new design trends, styles, and formats that strengthen IMCF’s creative edge.
  • Bring forward experimental ideas rooted in Miami culture, international fútbol culture, youth culture, music, and global design trends.
  • Support the delivery of a best-in-class creative department as the Club grows and enters its next chapter at Miami Freedom Park.
