About The Position

We Are Social is looking for a culture-hungry Associate Design Director who wants to make work and presentations that people will love. To do the job well, you’ll need a good sense of social media craft, layout, typography, photography, AI imagery, plus a desire to get your hands dirty. We are seeking someone who lives in the space between pop culture/sports/entertainment/fashion/music/travel. We are a creative agency powered by social connections. That means we thrive on what’s trending and creating campaigns that get people buzzing. We call it 'Ideas Worth Talking About,' and we're proud to have played a part in some of the most culturally relevant campaigns of the decade for brands like McDonald’s, Adidas, Universal Studios, and YouTube.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years experience working in creative industries (agency experience preferred).
• Experienced in creating world class design work: still graphics, motion graphics and editing.
• A positive attitude.
• An ability to inspire, influence and motivate others.
• Willingness to get your hands dirty and lead by example.
• Experience guiding teams and leading creative projects.
• Curiosity to learn and create using AI.
• Light editing skills and motion graphics are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for client work and agency new business efforts, generating innovative and visually compelling ideas and presentations that align with client objectives and resonate with target audiences.
• Design for clients and agency new business efforts and pitch decks, working within brand guidelines while pushing for design excellence.
• Create a wide range of content that suits the client, the moment and the idea, from quick social posts to lo-fi shoots.
• Ideate, build, shoot, and edit effective stories that match the quality of each social platform.
• Design visually engaging presentations, create mockups & do light retouching as needed that help sell creative ideas to top clients in the industry.
• Collaborate across departments, build relationships and navigate team dynamics.
• Manage multiple priorities and assignments, executing with quick turnaround times for real-time moments to deliver high quality work, on-time and with accuracy.
