About The Position

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Design & Analysis Engineer to become part of Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Vehicle Management System (VMS) team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO . You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems
• Experience interpreting model-based engineering or 2D engineering drawings to develop technical illustrations
• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years of experience conducting component, sub-system, system or system-of-systems tests
• 1+ years analyzing engineering designs to define testing requirements
• Experience preparing test plans, schedules and documentation
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or real-time operating systems
• Experience with software programming and creating scripts for automated testing
• Experience with Flight Controls or Vehicle Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations
• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs
• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting
• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software
• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
